Courses & Workshops
Join our courses and workshops to learn new skills in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere! The sewing studio is equipped with tables, comfy chairs and basic sewing and patchwork equipment. Hazel and guest tutors teach inspiring courses suitable for beginners to more experienced stitchers.
It is possible to start the weekly classes mid-term if there are spare places available. Please contact Hazel for details.
We have drop-in sewing sessions every Friday afternoon 12.45 to 3.30 £5 - no need to book. Also Clothes making drop-in sewing days on the second Monday and fourth Friday every month 10am - 4pm. Full day £15, half day £10.

Our regular weekly classes will resume at the beginning of September. Places are available on:
Mondays 7-9.30pm Tuesdays 9.30am to 12noon Fridays 9.30am to 12noon or 1pm to 3.30pm
This year the suggested project is Tula Pink's 100 Modern Blocks but students are welcome to work on alternative projects of their choice- Hazel can help you choose something to suit you and teach the techniques you need.
Hazel will be demonstrating techniques for making the blocks each week and offering help and guidance with all things patchwork!
These classes are very friendly and sociable with lots of support encouragement and inspiration in a relaxed atmosphere. Come along and join the fun!
Beginners Weekly Patchwork Classes.
Make your first quilt in only 8 weeks!
Hazel will guide you from start to finish in making a lap sized quilt using modern quick piecing techniques. You will start with a pre-cut pack of 5" squares for a time saving, easy start. The course will cover how to stitch and press seams, arrange and join blocks, measure and add borders and finish with binding.
You will need to bring a sewing machine and fabrics can be purchased at the studio.
