Grand Circle Designs

Alison Glass  designed a stunning circle design which was first produced as 10" diameter circles on a cream or black background and more recently as a 20" Grand Circles. I've been exploring patchwork projects using the Grand Circle fabrics using the quilt design software Electric Quilt 8.

The circle panels can be used whole but it occurred to me that when cut into quarters they could be treated like 'Drunkards Path' blocks to create a range of designs. For the cushion I simply combined two quarters with a black background and two with a cream background to make a cushion cover 20" square, quilted with concentric circles.
